Op zondag 6 oktober 2019 stond voor SP Rekken 2 de tweede wedstrijd van het seizoen op het programma. Na een 2-2 gelijkspel op het ’t Asterloo tegen FC Trias 3 mocht Rekken naar het kerkdorp Buurse. Na het omkleden kon de warming-up beginnen. Deze vond plaats op het trainingsveld.
Om 11:00 uur vond de aftap plaats en na enkele minuten lag de eerste bal al in het doel. Buurse schoot raak na rommelig uitverdedigen van Rekken. Maar niet veel later na een goed opgezette aanval stond het alweer binnen 5 minuten op 1-1 door Jasper Stein. Eenmaal wakker kon Rekken beginnen aan de wedstrijd en dit resulteerde dan ook in de 2-1. Via een corner van Bjarne Boonk kopte Koen Konniger over de 2,10m lange doelman heen. Met het betere voetbal had rekken de controle over het spel en kwamen de kansen dan ook vanzelf. Dit resulteerde dan ook dat de 3-1 binnen werd geschoten. Deze voorzet van Koen Konniger werd goed afgerond door Jasper Stein. Door een verkeerd ingeschatte hoge bal kon Buurse voor rust nog bijkomen en vervolgens de 2-3 binnenschieten. In de rust vonden de nodige tactische aanwijzingen plaats en werd er gewisseld. Robin Wegdam en Job Reinderink verlieten het veld voor Maikel Stokkers en Daan Papenborg. De tweede helft had SP Rekken steeds het betere spel en probeerde de bal rond te laten gaan. Dit ging – bij vlagen – goed waardoor vele kansen ontstonden. Jari Nijhof kwam door en ronde het geheel goed af. Helaas werd deze goal twijfelachtig buitenspel beoordeeld. Niet veel later viel dan toch de 2-4. Via een counter-aanval kon Jasper Stein de bal voorgeven en werd deze afgerond door Koen Konniger.
Niet veel later werd er weer een doelpunt van SP Rekken afgekeurd wegens buitenspel. Het was wel merkwaardig dat de voorzet vanaf de achterlijn werd opgezet. Dit mocht de pret niet drukken want de 2-5 werd vervolgens via Jari Nijhof in de touwen geschoten. Buurse kon na een goede counter nog terugkomen op 3-5, waarnaar Rekken de wedstrijd rustig kon uitvoetballen.
Uiteindelijk nam SP Rekken 2 verdiend 3 punten mee terug naar ’t Asterloo. Volgende week treedt SP Rekken 2 om 10:30 thuis aan tegen W.V.V.’34 3.
