Het Dames 1 elftal van Sp Rekken is genomineerd voor Sportploeg van het jaar 2012. Hieronder het persbericht vanuit de SFB:

EIBERGEN – De Eibergse Sport Federatie (ESF) houdt op vrijdag 8 maart haar jaarlijkse Rabo-Sportverkiezing voor Eibergen, Beltrum en Rekken. Deze keer zijn er 13 kandidaten, verdeeld over vier categorieën. Plaats van handeling is café-zalencentrum De Klok in Eibergen.

 

In de categorie Sporttalent van het jaar zijn genomineerd: Rachel Nijbroek (turnen), Fleur Beusink (ponysport), Hannah Wormgoor (judo), Naomi Wormgoor (judo) en Lianne Wolters (turnen).

 

Bij de Sportvrouw van het jaar gaat de strijd tussen Elly Steenbergen (shaolin kempo) en Maaike Klein Gunnewiek (tennis).

 

De categorie Sportman van het jaar kent eveneens twee kandidaten: Henk Harenberg (atletiek) en Tom Steenbergen (shaolin kempo).

 

VIOS-Bison (touwtrekken, mannen tot 640 kilogram), De Molenruiters (paardensport), FC Eibergen (voetbal, mannen) en SC Rekken (voetbal, vrouwen) strijden om de titel Sportploeg van het jaar.

 

Tevens zal oud-Olympisch kampioene schaatsen Annie Borckink weer de naar haar genoemde trofee uitreiken. Deze keer aan de mannentouwtrekploeg tot 580 kilogram van TTV Eibergen. Het team behaalde vorig jaar een bronzen medaille op de wereldkampioenschappen in Zwitserland.

 

Ook is er de bekendmaking van de sportvrijwilligers van het jaar en wordt met het publiek het spel ‘Petje op, petje af’ weer gespeeld.

 

De presentatie van de avond is in handen van marathonschaatser en entertainer Erik Hulzebosch en Sjoukje van Ommeren. Het programma begint om 20.00 uur.
