Na rust bleef Rekken vechten en zoeken naar de derde goal. Deze viel al vrij snel, toen Merijn een corner van Dennis Schepers binnenkopte. Voor Reünie bleek de gifbeker echter nog niet leeg. Roy werd gevloerd in de zestienmeter, en Merijn completeerde zijn hattrick vanaf elf meter. Het slotakkoord kwam een kwartier voor tijd op naam van de sterk spelende Roy: 1-5.
