Rekken6 deed tot vorige week mee in de strijd om het kampioenschap. Maar de thuiswedstrijd die moest worden gewonnen tegen DEO4 werd verloren met 1-6. Rekken begon best redelijk aan de wedstrijd en had zeker de eerste 20 min. het betere van het spel. De eerste kans van DEO was echter tegelijk raak en even later de 2de kans ook. Rekken liep achter de feiten aan en kreeg weinig kansen om voor de rust nog de aansluiting te vinden. DEO kwam door een afstandsroller zelfs nog op 3-0 en op deze ruststand rekende niemand vooraf. Ook na rust kon Rekken geen vuist maken en liep DEO zelfs uit naar 6-1 en zo werd er terecht van de nieuwe kampioen verloren.
Afgelopen zondag stond dan nog de laatste wedstrijd uit tegen MEC op het programma. Dit was voor Jan Barts en Jeroen Wantia de laatste wedstrijd en helaas hangen ze de voetbalschoenen in de wilgen. Jan Topscoorder dit seizoen en Jeroen doelpunten-tegenhouder gaan we zeker missen …hopelijk kunnen Ronald Engelberts en Arjan Hoenink het 40+ tempo snel oppakken in het nieuwe seizoen. Rekken won de wedstrijd verdiend met 3-5 en spits Paul Nijhof was na een lange blessure net op tijd fit voor speel-minuten en scoorde een mooie hattrick voor de rust. Na Ruste kopte Jeroen nog uit een corner binnen en mocht Fred de bal vanaf 11 meter in het net schieten.
Zo konden we het seizoen toch mooi afsluiten en is een 2de plek met een steeds ouder wordende ploeg tegen gemiddeld veel jongere tegenstanders toch een mooie prestatie.
